Talking to God is about getting to know God and being authentic with God. It's about being in relationship with God. The mystery of prayer is that the deeper I go, the more I realize I have so much more to learn about God.

Prayer is a connection with God, for the purpose of making your requests known to Him, but also, to know His requests. It is a friendship interaction. It is an acknowledgement of the given access we have freely received and participating in that connection. Not a laundry list of demands, but an exchange of concerns, ideas, and getting to know and be known in the heart of the matters in and around us.
ReplyDeleteMost important, it is a two way relationship. And especially, prayers need to be a blessing to God, equal to the Word of Gods direction for yourself and others, and it must line up with LIFE for all concerned. If your meter is Love, Faith, Hope and the fruit of the Spirit in Gal. 5:22, then your prayers will line up with Gods desires for you and those you pray for!
